Arrival Time Calculator
Calculate your arrival date and time from a departure time and travel duration, including overnight and multi-day journeys.
How Arrival Time Is Calculated
Enter your departure date, departure time, and total travel duration in hours and minutes. The calculator adds that duration to your departure moment to find your arrival date and time — correctly handling journeys that run overnight or span multiple days.
Arrival Time vs. Departure Time
This calculator answers departure + duration → arrival: given when you're leaving and how long the trip takes, it tells you when you'll arrive. The Departure Time Calculator answers the reverse: arrival + duration → departure. Use the Arrival Time Calculator when you know when you're leaving. Use the Departure Time Calculator when you know when you need to arrive.
Arrival Time vs. Flight Duration
This calculator works forward from a departure time and a known duration to find an arrival time. The Flight Duration Calculator works the other direction: given a departure and arrival time, it tells you how long the trip took. Use whichever one matches the information you already have.
FAQ
How is arrival time calculated?
The calculator combines your departure date and time into a single moment, then adds your travel duration (in hours and minutes) to it. The result is your arrival moment, split back out into an arrival date and an arrival time.
Can this calculator handle overnight journeys?
Yes. If your travel duration carries you past midnight, the arrival date automatically rolls over to the next day.
Can this calculator handle multi-day journeys?
Yes. There's no cap on the duration you can enter — a duration of 51 hours, for example, correctly lands two full days later than your departure date.
Do I need to account for time zones?
This calculator uses the date and time you enter as-is and does not convert between time zones. If your journey crosses time zones, enter your travel duration in the departure time zone and adjust the result yourself if you need the arrival time in a different zone.
When should I use this instead of the Flight Duration Calculator?
Use this calculator when you know your departure time and how long the trip takes, and want to know when you'll arrive. Use the Flight Duration Calculator when it's the other way around — you know both your departure and arrival times and want to know how long the trip took.
When should I use this instead of the Departure Time Calculator?
Use this calculator when you know when you're leaving and want to find out when you'll arrive. Use the Departure Time Calculator when it's the other way around — you know when you need to arrive and want to find out when to leave.
